Rivanna Auction Co. helps families and individuals across Central Virginia with estate settlements, downsizing, and larger household projects through professionally managed online auctions. We also consider select individual items and collections when they’re a good fit.
Rivanna Auction Co. is a locally owned company that helps you sell what’s inside a house full of belongings. We handle the process from identifying which items make sense for auction, through photography, cataloging, online bidding, payment collection, and buyer pickup. We also work with smaller collections and select individual items when they’re a good fit.

How It Works

Tell us about your situation. If you’re downsizing, settling an estate, or have a larger group of belongings, let us know a bit about it. Photos help, but aren’t required.

Review & intake. We confirm fit, review terms together, and schedule intake at a time that works for you. In most cases, there are no upfront costs to consign.

Online auction. Your items are photographed, cataloged, and sold through competitive online bidding.

Local pickup. Buyers pick up locally after the sale. We don’t ship.
5
You get paid. Once pickup is complete, your proceeds are sent to you.
