Rivanna Auction Co. was created to give local families a practical, steady way to sell quality belongings without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Many households have items that still carry real value — furniture, collections, décor, tools, specialty pieces — things that deserve more than a donation drop-off or a long stay in storage. Our goal is simple: present those items well, reach motivated buyers, and handle the process clearly from start to finish.
We are locally owned and focused on Fluvanna County and the surrounding areas. All auctions are conducted online with local buyer pickup only. That keeps things efficient, transparent, and rooted in the community.
Rivanna Auction Co. was founded by David, who spent years managing tasting room and event operations for a respected local distillery. That role required organization, customer communication, event logistics, inventory management, and building long-term relationships.
After working closely with families, collectors, and local residents, he saw a need for a calmer option for partial downsizing and consignment — something more structured than a yard sale, but less overwhelming than a full estate liquidation.
This is a hands-on business. When you call or email, you’re speaking directly with the owner.
